Astronomers have discovered a potentially habitable planet

Astronomers led by Mikko Tuomi from the University of Hertfordshire re-analyzed data from the spectrograph HARPS, concerning the star HD 40307 in the constellation Pictoris, and opened just three new planets, one of which is right in the center of the habitable zone lights.


Experts of the European Southern Observatory have discovered a planet in the class super-Earths, which may be a liquid form of water, and thus life.

Mankind has long wondered whether there is life on other planets besides Earth. If earlier answer was solely on the theory and assumptions, but now, with the progress of science and technology, it is possible a more substantive study subjects extraterrestrial civilizations or the presence of life on other planets.
