The researchers studied
the features of the collision of giant planets with each other and found that
such collisions may occur in our galaxy often.
A team of scientists
from the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences
headed by VI Dokuchaev conducted a study of indications accompanying the
collision of giant planets. The researchers found that the number of collisions
in our Milky Way galaxy is 0.01 to one collision per year.
