That blue dot in the
upper right is Gliese 504b (GJ 504b), a giant planet that is 59 light years
from Earth orbiting a solar-type star. But what is this special? Have we not
already seen several extrasolar planets directly? Yes, but doing a little
cheating. And is that exoplanets we have seen directly, as the system HR 8799,
for example-are actually training worlds still shine with their own light, especially
in infrared.

Discover the oldest lunar calendar in a field of Aberdeen shire
UK archaeologists have
discovered the oldest lunar calendar, found so far, in a field of Aberdeen

phases of the moon and the lunar months and is believed chosen about 10,000

Excavations at the site

The NASA Mars rover launch in 2020
A team of scientists

The Great Wall of China is not can be seen from space
One of the most popular
spatial myths is that the Great Wall is the only man that can be seen from
space. Well, not true. The reality is you cannot easily see the Great Wall from
low Earth orbit to the naked eye. And rightly the Apollo astronauts could not
see it from the moon, despite the urban legend has spread widely.
