The
recent past, the asteroid 2012 KP24, flew past Earth at only a tenth of the
distance of the Moon.
This asteroid,
discovered recently, passed over our planet early on May 28, 2012, about
350,000 miles.
According to NASA,
there was not any danger of collision with Earth, but it was an ideal time for
many astronomers and amateurs, who missed the opportunity to photograph this
large rock, estimated was about 26 meters.
