1. Once a year on Earth
lasted 486 days, it was about 800 million years ago, before the birth of
ancient life in the era of large-scale glaciation of the Earth. Hundreds of
millions of years later, in the era of the dinosaurs, the year was reduced to
370 days. He is now, as you know, is 365 days. What is happening? The facts
that the Earth rotates more slowly, because it "slows down" lunar
gravity.

If water leaves from the Planet- will like the Earth to Mars
The two closest to the
Earth planet - Mars and Venus - once had vast oceans, extending over many
millions of square kilometers. But all the planets with liquid water on the
surface is very fragile. Venus could not keep their oceans, and they vanished
into space. Recently we learned that Mars lost most of their water, then it
turned into a dry and cold desert.

Parade of the three planets
During these three
days, in the clear sky you can see the "parade of three planets" that
are low in the north-eastern part of the sky.
Three bright planets
are placed diagonally across the sky at this weekend's pre-dawn sky which is
right at the top of Jupiter, in the middle of Mars and Mercury at the bottom
left. In addition, the company they will be waning moon.

NASA probes TWINS: five years of observations of ring current Earth
Land surrounds the
dynamic area, which accept the name of the magnetosphere. This area is
controlled by the magnetic and electric forces coming from the sun energy and
matter, as well as a variety of waves and processes that differ from those that
are commonly found in terrestrial physics. Within this constantly changing
magnetic "bubble" is toroidal formation of charged particles, the
plane of which coincides with the plane of Earth's equator.

Three Chinese Astronauts Land After Record-Breaking Spaceflight
A Chinese space capsule
carrying three astronauts returned safely to Earth Tuesday (June 25), wrapping
up the longest manned space mission in the nation's history.
The Shenzhou 10
spacecraft touched down at 8:08 p.m. EDT Tuesday (0008 GMT), capping a 15-day
mission to China's orbitingTiangong 1 lab module. The spacecraft landed in
northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, where the local time was
8:08 a.m. on Wednesday.

How much water is on Earth?
How much water do you
think there are on Earth? Approximately 70% of the surface of the Earth is
covered by water, and oceans contain about 96.5% of all water from the planet.
But there is water in the air as water vapor, in rivers and lakes, ice caps and
glaciers, as moisture in the soil and groundwater, even in your body and your
dog. However, all that water is in the "small" area of 1,385 km in
diameter.
The Earth will not end in 2012
On December 31, the
Gregorian calendar did something frightening. He spent the years 2011 to 2012.
What we experience as the year came to an end? Earthquakes? Globally? A
planetary collision? Stranger gravitational effects caused by an alignment with
the galactic plane? Is the impact of a comet? 'Lighting' Earth?
As much as I wish it
were true finally, it is likely that the New Year celebrations only involve a
lot of alcohol and fireworks. It is the beginning of a new year for our
calendar. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mars and Earth were shaped from the same structure blocks
A team of Carnegie
investigated hydrogen liquefy in water from the Martian subsurface, and found
that Mars was formed from the same structure blocks as the Earth, and the
changes in the chemical composition of the planet began to occur in the course
of its subsequent evolution. This indicates that the terrestrial planets,
including Earth, the same source of water - chondritic meteorites. However,
unlike our planet, Mars rocks, which contain volatile components such as water,
can be processed deep in the bowels of the planet.

Unusual lunar crater will help to understand the evolution of craters on Earth
Researchers studying
the evolution of impact craters on Earth and other rocky bodies discovered an
interesting object for research on the moon.
Scientists engaged in
the crater of lunar who is in the region known as the lunar Sea of
Tranquility. The crater is only 2.2 kilometers in diameter, but it is very
young - formed only 10 million years ago - and well-preserved.

The Moon is moving back from Earth nearly 4 centimeters per year
The distance of the
Moon and the Earth's revolving slowdown is reason by the gravitational pull of
the two stars from the formation of the system.
The Moon and the Sun appear
eternal. And while this is true for permanence small sample of time is human
life on galactic time, is only apparent, because the Moon will end when we
emerge from the star, the Sun, end their lives.

Giant satellite tracking station ESA ready for opening
One of the most complex
in the world stations for satellite tracking, preparing for his discovery in
Malargue, Argentina, 1,000 kilometers from Buenos Aires. The new station will afford
dependable communications with missions traveling through the solar system in
the hundreds of millions of miles from Earth.
The new station of the
European Space Agency (ESA), located near the town of Malargue, Mendoza
province, after its opening, will join the work of the existing stations
located in Spain and Australia.

GTC to unravel the mystery of the atmosphere of one of the 'super-Earths'
The 'super-Earths',
with a mass 10 times greater than Earth's, are good candidates to find life
outside our solar system.
Located 42 light years
away, GJ 1214b is one of the most studied because it can be seen from
ground-based telescopes with relative ease
The data obtained with
the GTC by IAC researchers support the idea that GJ1214b's atmosphere is made
up of metal.

Expedition 33/34 went to the ISS
Two cosmonauts and one
astronaut and 32 live fish left Earth and went to the International Space
Station (ISS) yesterday afternoon (October 23), starting with the Russian
launch site, not be used to start manned missions for nearly three decades.
Spacecraft "Soyuz
TMA-06M", located on the carrier rocket "Soyuz-FG", was launched
on 31 th launch site Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 14:51 in Moscow
(10:51 GMT).

Moon was once part of the Earth!
Scientists have make
available new indication that the moon was once part of our planet, but
billions of years ago, "broke away" from it in a collision with
another celestial body.
Now that planetary
scientists to understand where there is water on the natural satellite of our
planet, all the scholarly attention has focused on the more fundamental
question: how, after all, come from the moon itself? And how is it that she
seemed bound rotated in space in tune with the Earth?
